Optovue angiovue optical coherence tomography angiography octa system
RBF and RTV measurements in the macular region. ( A ) RBF was assessed using the RFI within a circular region (Ø 2.5 mm) centered on the fovea. Arterioles ( red ) and venules ( pink ) are visualized with their respective flow velocities (mm/s) overlaid. Vessel diameters were measured at points where vessels intersected the 2.5 mm circle. These data were used to calculate flow for all arterioles ( green dots ) and venules ( yellow dots ). Total retinal blood flow into the fovea (arteriolar) and out of the fovea (venular) has been demonstrated to be roughly equivalent. Therefore, total arteriolar and venular flows were calculated by summing individual flow volumes of all vessels crossing the 2.5 mm circle. The average of the two vessel types was considered the region's RBF. ( B ) RTV was measured using <t>OCTA</t> within an annular region centered on the fovea, with a 2.5 mm outer diameter and a 0.6 mm inner diameter. The RTV included the inner retinal layers: RNFL, GCIPL, inner nuclear layer (INL), and outer plexiform layer (OPL). ( C ) RTV of the same inner retinal layers was quantified using the <t>AngioVue</t> OCTA system, applying the same annular region shown in ( B ).
